The nice mare from FoE: Treasure Hunting… Here she is helping a lost little changeling back home. Yeah she's noce like that. Took some (read:shitload) artistic liberties with this, but eh.. had fun. A big reason I wanted to draw this was because guns...

This bugger took way too long... I need to simplify my drawing process.

ps. silly little changeling... if you're going to steal a gun, steal a proper one. You should have just tossed that piece of crap to a lake... hah!

Jati-Matic. That explains it all.

I'd favor a machine pistol anytime before a hand-gun like a revolver or pistol. Bigger ammo reserve and better rate of fire for a comparable range.

But it can jam and it wastes ammo.

It can jam ? Well, practically any firearm can jam. Any mechanism can technically jam.

It wastes ammo ? Since when ammo spent to take down an enemy is wasted ? If handguns were that great in CQBs and short-distance fights, then how come they are still kept as secondary weapons, while the submachineguns and assault rifles are primary weapons ?

Besides, at short distances, accuracy comes only after rate of fire. Thus the use of SMGs and assault rifles in short-distance fights.

And even if a handgun has potentially more accuracy, by the time you - not you personally, of course. It's a general you - take your aim, you'll have tens and tens of bullets fired at you.
In that case, if the enemy misses a few shots, (s)he doesn't care, because (s)he a a greater rate of fire. While you'll have to rely mostly, if not only, on pure luck to get one, only one, barely aimed - if aimed at all - shot to take her or him down before (s)he can press the trigger.

Wow, This is really cool.  Is this scene canon to that story? I've only just now started analyzing Treasure Hunting for rules adaptations to the universe-system, but I've been working on changeling rules and need more reference material.

No, at current this has no bearing on the story. I'd accept it as something that could be, because it fits the story perfectly. As per changeling rules? I can offer my own headcanon if you want to message me directly, but I want to remind you that it's just that... Headcanon!

Nah... Shes just taking her back home! The poor fellow was just confused and didn't know what was best for him. Though I bet he'll have a stern talking to later.

Nice work.  I'm diggin' that trash heap.

That's a bit surprising since I rushed the background and overall it was just very meh to draw.
